2003-2007 Ford 6.0 Powerstroke Black Diamond Master Replacement Head Gasket Kit
If you are replacing the head gaskets on your 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel engine and want the absolute best and most complete kit on the market, the Black Diamond Master Kit is the one for you. This is the same kit we use in our shop on a daily basis when replacing the head gaskets on 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel equipped vehicles. Every last o-ring, gasket, or seal you will need for the top end of the engine is included in this kit. This allows you to replace all the worn and dried out gaskets on your engine when doing a head gasket job without multiple trips to the parts store or leaks later.
Also included is the Black Diamond oil cooler which includes a new metal reservoir screen. These coolers are great quality and work extremely well. It is a really good idea to replace the oil cooler when doing a head gasket job. They are a known failure item on these engines and you have everything out of the way which makes replacing it a breeze instead of the eight hours of labor it normally takes if you were replacing the cooler later.
To finish out the kit, a set of ARP Head Studs are included along with ARP lubricant. These studs will provide a higher clamp load on the head than the factory head bolts can provide. This helps keep the head from lifting under high pressure situation.
We strongly recommend having your heads surfaced by a reputable machine shop before installing this kit. We have never taken a head off that didn't need surfaced. If you reinstall your heads without resurfacing, to make sure they are perfectly flat, you may experience the head gaskets not sealing properly.

Head Gasket Dowel Size:
The 03-05 engines all had 18MM head dowels. From January of 2006 on, all 6.0 engines had 20MM head dowels. If you have a 2006 engine please check engine build date or remove heads first to ensure you order the proper size dowel and gasket for your engine. If you happen to order the wrong size we will gladly exchange the gaskets for the proper size later.
EGR Cooler Options:
The egr cooler is a known problem with these engines. If you would like to completely remove it, choose the egr delete option. The delete kit comes with everything you need to remove the egr cooler and valve from the engine. It also comes with a new solid turbo up-pipe to eliminate the egr port and troublesome expansion joint in the passenger side pipe.
If you would like to keep the egr system intact, we suggest adding one of our upgraded egr coolers. They have a tube style center section that will not rupture like the factory fin style coolers. The early 03-03 trucks have a round cooler and the later 04-07 trucks have a square cooler. Please check your cooler style before ordering.
